Online Banking Outage Leaves Thousands Without Access to Accounts
Arvest Bank is currently experiencing a significant outage, preventing customers from accessing their online and mobile banking accounts.
The bank, which serves over 800,000 customers across Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri, confirmed the issue in a statement on X (formerly Twitter), saying:
Customers are currently experiencing issues logging in to online and mobile banking.
Arvest Bank stated that its teams are aware of the issue and are “actively working to resolve it as quickly as possible.
The bank also acknowledged that, beyond login troubles, their nightly processing operations are currently delayed — compounding the disruption.
Frustrated customers have taken to social media to vent, with many saying they’re unable to pay bills or make purchases due to the app outage.
I can’t make my car payment — and if it’s late, that’s on you. I’m tired of this, one user posted on X.
Another customer pointed out that this marks the fourth outage in 2025 and warned they are seriously considering switching banks.
Arvest Bank, headquartered in Bentonville, Arkansas, is the oldest bank in the state and one of the largest in the United States.
According to Downdetector, a platform that tracks online service outages, problems began surfacing around 3 a.m. ET and have continued into the morning as more customers attempt to log in to the bank’s app.

Roughly 60% of reported issues involve mobile login failures, with 26% linked to online banking and 14% to website login problems. Many users say they’re receiving error messages incorrectly stating their login credentials are invalid.
While the mobile banking app remains down, Arvest has confirmed that its branches, ATMs, and ATMs with Live Tellers are fully operational.
Still, the outage has had a major impact — leaving many customers unable to pay bills or access their paychecks.
“There’s a difference between ‘frustrating’ and not being able to pay rent or access your paycheck,” one user wrote on X.
Another vented, “Fix the problem now — I’ve got bills to pay. This is beyond frustrating.”
Some users expressed their breaking point: “It’s been down for almost four hours. How has this not been fixed? This is exactly why I’m closing my accounts. What a poor excuse for a bank.”
In a public statement, Arvest responded: “We understand this is frustrating, and our technical teams are actively working to restore access. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
